Dead Rising 2: Case Zero & Metroid: Other M Out Today
It’s Tuesday, the day new games usually hit retail shelves.
Today’s major releases include Metroid: Other M and Dead Rising 2: Case Zero (X-Box Live Exclusive).
I had a chance to play Metroid: Other M at E3. Although it does seem odd to have so much voice acting and story in a Metroid game, the gameplay is fantastic. Running left to right to take out enemies is a breeze, and you can switch to first person mode and use the Wii mote if you prefer a bit more accuracy, although you can’t run while in while in this mode.
Also out today, as an X-Box Live exclusive, is Dead Rising 2: Case Zero. For 400 MS points, Case Zero will serve as a prologue to Dead Rising 2, which releases for PC, 360 and PS3 at the end of the month. It will also link the games plot to the first Dead Rising game.
Your skills and level (up to level 5) can be carried over to the main game, along with some alternate outfits.
