NHL Slapshots Preview: It Comes With A Stick

Oh no, not another cheap, plastic peripheral is the thought to cross the minds of most gamers upon seeing NHL Slapshot for the first time. Every copy of the game will be packaged with a small hockey stick that houses the Wiimote near its base and the nunchuck up top.

But having spent some time with the stick, I have to say, it just feels like NHL on the Wii done right.

LANsomnia – All Night Gaming Tourney

Groggy, sleepy eyed gamers made what must have seemed like a long trek home this morning, having survived Project X’s second LANsomnia event.

Taking place at Switchbox 1.1, Project X tasked gamers to compete in a Starcraft II and Call of Duty 4 tournament, which would last throughout the night. Beginning at 11 p.m., 51 gamers competed from prizes and bragging rights.
