You may read comics, but do you ever think about what goes on between the lines or rather, between the panels? Well comic book philosopher Richard Harrison does!

Calgary-born artist, Ian Navarro, had trouble figuring out where his talents in illustration would take him after ACAD.

However, there was one thing he knew for certain: he wanted to mesh his livelihood with his lifelong love for drawing.

Whether it’s wanting to be an artist, a musician or an athlete, many dream of turning their favourite hobby into their full-time career.

Fiona Staples, 26, is living that dream by meshing together her two passions: art and comic books.

So, you want to run a tabletop game, do you? Well, I’ll walk you through the process. I’ve been running a game of my own for about a year and a half now; so while I might not be an expert on the matter…I do know what you need. Some of these items might seem obvious, others…not so much. For the purposes of this quasi-tutorial, I’ll assume you’re starting from scratch.

Let’s face it, folks: Japan itself plays a huge part in Geek Culture. It’s the birthplace of both anime and video games, and has a history which we in our Western world thoroughly romanticize.

Not many visualize the talent that’s just waiting to be found in our own great city. Calan Lovstrom and his Quiver St. comics is one of those talents.
